As a result of the request of many visitors of the site and of our associates, we have created a new page providing instructions for the installation of “Hydro-Gen”. If you have already watch some of our applications, you know that our favorite place to install the device is the space between the panel (mask) and refrigerator. The new device is smaller in size without being accompanied by additional containers. That gave us the option to have more locations available to choose inside the engine to support the device.
A) The first step in the selection where to install the “Hydro-Gen”. Here are some options to keep in mind!
By identifying the appropriate place to mount the device, you prepare the supports deemed necessary for optimal stabilization of the “Hydro-Gen”.
B) Connect the electrodes of the device with the wires of the power supply that supports the function. The power supply has dual cable. One cable is always single-colored, the other one is double-colored, in order to have the ability to monitor the polarity. If your power supply wires are black, the polarity is: the pure black wire is the negative (-) and the black wire to the white line is the positive (+). If the power supply cord is red then: the red wire is the positive (+) and red with the black line is the negative. The connection of the cables to the device is as follows: The rise electrode (-) is always at the device where is the link and the flow valve (orange or white), at this electrode we connect with the clam the terminals of the cable that drives the negative (-) (clean black or red with black line). The descent electrode (+) is located on the side of the device which is attached only the quick connector and connected to the cable that leads to positive (+) (black white red line). We make sure the connection of the power supply wires is done before mounting the device so we have accessible terminals. Also, we check carefully the route of the cables so that there are no contingencies during the installation. We not make sure the wires do not touch the hot parts of the engine, do not engage with other cables and their route does allow any work on the engine of the vehicle without requiring the removal. It is recommended to use protective cloak in the wiring to avoid problems.
C) The device is connected through a black tube of 6mm diameter, a length sufficient to implement at the entrance of the engine duct. Before the mounting of the device make sure that the length of the tube from the selected point of support up to the airway is long enough. Check the route followed by the airway to avoid surprises and make sure that at the selected path is not affected by hot spots of the engine and that doesn’t prevent the necessary maintenance work.
D) After performing the above tasks you can mount the device to the selected location. In places (like the surface of the battery) that metal studs can’t be used, you can use a good quality double sided adhesive tape and a larger tie to secure it. These will support and hold the device firmly in place.
E) The power supply of “Hydro-Gen” is connected to the vehicle’s battery. It, also, has pins of different colors. Red for the positive (+) pole, blue for the negative (-) pole. Another simple way to recognize the positive (+) terminal, is that it is connected through a fuse to the power supply of the device. In the fuse box there is mounted a small fuse of 2 to 3 Amps.
F) Finally, we may configure the device with a multimeter to the ammeter. Remove securely the fuse from its box and we place the terminals of the multimeter or ammeter in the fuse box instead. We have preset the multimeter at 10 A and we put the terminal cables as follows: the black on the COM port and the red on the door of 10 A. With a small screwdriver we turn the trimmer that is mounted on the box next to the power supply indicator (led light) by checking the entries in our multimeter. Note, in order to regulate “Hydro-Gen” the operation of the engine is required.
